North American dates for Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY have been announced starting with a show in Chicago on December 12, 2009 at 8:00 PM! The show will feature the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra, Elmhurst College Concert Choir, and Susan Calloway, conducted by maestro Arnie Roth.

Nobuo Uematsu – composer for Final Fantasy Games – will be in attendance and play the B3 organ with the Chicago Mages. Square Enix is promising North American Premieres, World Premieres, and works never heard outside of Japan! Sounds Awesome.

To top this announcment off Square Enix announed the Canadian Debut of Distant Worlds. The concert on October 8th will be in Vancouver – wish I was closer 🙁 – and will feature Arnie Roth conducting and the Vancouver Symphony and UBC Opera Ensemble at the Orpheum Theatre. This performance will feature the North American premiere performance of the FINAL FANTASY VII Main Theme.
