Darksiders II Pre-order Offers Announced

THQ has released details on the Pre-order packages for the next instalment of the Darksiders saga with screens of Death riding head on into Armageddon.

Alongside Darksiders 2, THQ has announced the launch of two books tied to the series; In May, DARKSIDERS: THE ABOMINATION VAULT will provide the back stories on War and Death – taking place a millennia before the events of the original Darksiders – and the struggle to save the world from a mysterious force seeking to the balance of heaven, hell and earth. The second book will be a companion book described as the Darksiders World Bible.

Pre-order details:

GameStop: ‘Death Rides’ Pack-Features multiple exclusive side-quests allowing players to explore more of the Maker’s Realm and Dead Plains. In addition players will be able to aid an ancient Construct, battle The Bloodless and retrieve Karn’s lost treasure.
Best Buy: ‘Angel of Death’ Pack-Features enhanced armor with an angel inspired design as well as a pair of matching scythes. In addition players will receive an exclusive purple colored visual trail for their crow.

Kinect Star Wars Coming Soon

When I first saw the limited Edition Star Wars Xbox 360 I was planning on upgrading, but due to unfortunate timing my upgrade plans were moved up a couple months so I’ll be missing out – but you don’t have to!

Just look at all these newly announced game play modes: Jedi Destiny: Dark Side Rising, Podracing, Rancor Rampage, Galactic Dance Off and Duels of Fate. All these in addition to the previously announced Jedi, Podracing and Rancor modes previously announced by the team at LucasArts.

New experiences within Jedi Destiny Mode, including:

Space battles: As you travel the Galaxy to face an evil that threatens to undermine the fabric of the Republic, you’ll engage with forces of the Empire in intense space battles
Speeder Bikes and Landspeeders: Pilot iconic Speeder Bikes and Landspeeders on your epic journey
New duels: Battle opponents like Count Dooku and Darth Vader on your journey to become a Jedi

New Duels of Fate mode, a battle-by-battle experience to sharpen your Jedi skills against the Dark Side.
New Galactic Dance Off mode: Battle Darth Vader on the dance floor or bust a move “Solo style.” Additionally, the Xbox 360 Limited Edition “Kinect Star Wars” console bundle will feature an exclusive C-3PO unlockable for Dance Mode.

Limited Edition “Kinect Star Wars” console bundle will both be available on April 3, 2012 in North America for $449.99.

Rock Out With Pearl Jam

I’m a huge Pearl Jam fan and I’ve been waiting for the chance to pick up my guitar and learn the songs of my teenage years.

Ubisoft just released the tracks Black and Jeremy for RockSmith. This is a must have for Pearl Jam Fans.

I’ll soon be checking “Learn Pearl Jam Songs on Guitar” off the bucket list.

Editor’s Note: This is actually a fitting post as we’ve been a little quiet around here lately, due to some thing beyond my control I’ve had to limit my writing time… I’m trying to correct that though

Coming soon to the Xbox live Arcade a New Post-Apocalypse Survival title from Ubisoft – I AM ALIVE!

Moving away from zombies and mutants (Huzza!) and into a story that will force players to consider the actions taken against other survivors and supply management in the harsh lands of a dying city. Using your brains as much as the equipment you are carrying will be the key to surviving and reaching your ultimate goal – finding your family. Players will be faced with situations requiring you to intimidate others, bluff their way out of a tough spot, or event take a physical approach to the other inhabitants in the city of Haventon.

Skyrim is getting a title update from Bethesda which fixes a number of items that gamers have been complaining about in the forums. Check out the list below to see the updates coming your way this week.

UPDATE 1.2 (all platforms unless specified):

Improved occasional performance issues resulting from long term play (PlayStation 3)
Fixed issue where textures would not properly upgrade when installed to drive (Xbox 360)
Fixed crash on startup when audio is set to sample rate other than 44100Hz (PC)
Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away
Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead
Dragon corpses now clean up properly
Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack
Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug
Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely
Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory
