Disney adventures into the sewers with this highly addictive and gameplay offering up all the rewards that gamers look for, a fun yet challenging progression of levels, Achievements for progression and speed, hidden/locked levels and a fun character for players to assist.

Players are faced with progressive difficulties as they move water from a fixed location, or pipe, into Swampy’s bathtub while manipulating the water flow to collect rubber duckies while building pathways through the soil while avoiding objects like exploding bombs, poison and swamp ooze while digging around for hidden collectibles. Beware the Poison kills the duckies preventing you from getting full points in the round.

Providing all around fun with Swampy and his duckies in the bath for the low price of 99c you can’t go wrong, especially if your tired of flying birds and silly pigs.

I love NCAA football – Way more than NFL because these guys are playing their asses off for their pride, the school and the chance at getting rich and playing like the rest of the lazy thugs in the NFL. Every year I look forward to the updated release of this title. Being the little brother to Madden, it’s no surprise that the game feels like it’s been neglected some in the last couple years.

The incredibly fun “Road to Glory” mode that, has you controlling a high school superstar to college star status, received no new features or attention. This is sad because this mode is incredibly satisfying and a lot of fun but it’s a little less so this time around because it’s got the “Been there done that” feel to it. Even the incredibly hot Erin Andrews videos are the same and she’s even wearing the same outfit – Come on EA, quit effin with us. That’s rather insulting.

The dynasty mode is still fun and even slightly more engaging to a small degree with the recruiting allowing you to woo your prospective players away from your competition by making phone calls and planning visits. Only problem seems to me after playing 3 championship seasons, I still don’t have a higher level of prestige as a coach nor am I able to access some of the other points to discuss with players. Not sure what a guy needs to do to make this work better but it’s starting to get a little irritating. What else does a guy need to do to get more 5 star players to come play for his school?

The gameplay itself is by and large untouched which isn’t a bad thing. There have been some minor adjustments to the running game but I didn’t find it to be that bad anyway.

All in all I enjoyed this year’s title but still feel a little cheated by EA. All they did was add a few lines of code to the game and tweak the run game slightly and add the phone calls option to recruiting, slap a new cover athlete on the front and call it NCAA Football 11. As my football coach used to say; “Put your full effort into it or don’t bother trying. You’re just making yourself look bad”

Romance of the Three Kingdoms Touch on iPhone is a new game by Koei that falls in line similarly with the other Romance of the Three Kingdoms games. It is a turn based strategy game that is simple in graphics and other visuals but heavy on strategy and statistics/attributes. Fans of the Romance Series will find familiar faces along the way and of course the same popular enemies. Read bios and individual character stats simplified for the lighter mobile platform while enjoying the intrigue and alliance balancing of ancient China.

The goal, of course, is to become the most powerful ruler in China and overtake your opponents in a very in-depth game of chess. You must build your food, army and abilities while fending off floods, earthquakes, plagues and of course enemy attacks (though your computer enemies tend to be pretty friendly until they are attacked). Attack to soon and you will be defeated and attack to late and your opponent may be to powerful.

The music and sound effects were simplistic but sounded well designed to play on the iPhone, along with a simplified user interface this game seems well thought out and designed with the limitations of mobile gaming on the iPhone kept in mind.

The pros: This is the perfect game for those times when you are waiting at the Dr or for a meeting to begin. It is captivating and keeps your attention. I really enjoy playing this game though I have to admit I have a lot to learn as it really is a science and one false move early in the game can really cause you headaches later in the game.

The cons: The cons I could find in the game are fairly small and trivial but I thought I would mention them to be fair. First the tutorial can be a bit campy and long winded. A lot of joking back and forth between two brothers, one who is explaining the game and one who thinks he knows everything. Second, once you begin playing you find out quickly that there is a lot to keep up with to be successful so it can be a bit daunting at first. Lastly the touchscreen can be a bit jumpy and I noticed that my big fingers selecting things I had not intended to (this may be more of an iPhone issue than something Koei did).

This is definitely a recommend title for your collection of iPhone games, especially if turn based strategy is your thing. You will find lots of replay value and a different scenario waiting for you each and every time.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms Touch – for iPod Touch and iPhone!! Wow talk about exciting news for fan of the ROTTK series. After spending hours of my teenage life playing ROTTK, I’m very intrigued by the idea of it being a portable game on my iPod Touch.
